To infuse experienced insights into our young talent, UIS benefits from the guidance of an Advisory Board. This board, made up of seasoned professionals, offers invaluable perspectives on decisions and activities throughout the network. Meeting twice a year, the Advisory Board actively engages with students, discussing ways to enhance UIS and its services.

Virginia Stagni

Virginia is Chief Marketing Officer at Adecco Group Italy.
Virginia was Head of Business Development at the Financial Times, where she has worked since 2017. Virginia is the founder of FT Talent Programme at the Financial Times and she became the youngest manager at the Financial Times in 130 years.

Mirja Cartia d'Asero

Mirja Cartia d’Asero is Chief Executive Officer of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. since 27 April 2022 and already a member of the Board of Directors since 23 July 2020. She is currently Independent Director of TECMA Solutions S.p.A., of ZURICH Investments Life S.p.A. - where she also holds the position of Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and Member of the Internal Control and Risks Committee - and of ITALMOBILIARE S.p.A., where she is also Chairman of the Control and Risks Committee, Member of the Sustainability Committee and Member of the Related Parties Committee. She is Board Member of Ansa press agency. She is a member of the General Council of FIEG - Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers, as well as Managing Director of the Publishing Reform Commission.

Nathalie Tocci

Nathalie Tocci is Director of the Istituto Affari Internazionali, part-time professor at the School of Transnational Governance (European University Institute), Honorary Professor at the University of Tübingen and independent non-executive director of Acea. She has been Special Advisor to EU High Representatives Federica Mogherini and Josep Borrell. In that capacity, she wrote the European Global Strategy and worked on its implementation. She is Europe’s Futures fellow at the Institute for Human Sciences (Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen, IWM). She was Pierre Keller Visiting Professor at the Harvard Kennedy School and, prior to joining Acea, she was independent board member first of Edison and then of Eni. She has held research positions at the Centre for European Policy Studies, Brussels, the Transatlantic Academy, Washington, the European University Institute, Florence, and has taught at the College of Europe, Bruges.
